Clifton Reynes, Sunday 30th September 2018... Get the date in your diaries!
The Olney Runners’ Squeaky Bone relay race is a fun, bone-squeaking relay race!! The 3.5 mile or 2.3 mile event will once again be open to all ability levels.
This is not just an event for runners; bring along your support team who can enjoy great home-made cakes, with all profits going to a local charity; refreshments from Shaun’s Café; hot food will be available from Pasture's Farm; coffee from The Awesome Coffee Company; sports massage will be provided by Helen Stevens (with all monies taken going to CRY); a whole lot of squeaking, general frivolity and, of course, the awards’ ceremony.
There will be unique bone-shaped trophies for the winning teams too!
Since its inception in 2008, the Squeaky Bone Relay Race has grown from 15 teams to a record 161 teams, which saw 644 people all completing the undulating cross country route on Mike Davies' private farm land. The success has come as a result of the fantastic volunteer effort we receive each year, the generosity of Mike in letting us trample over his land and the support of many local running clubs, including: Bedford Harriers; Redway Runners, Desborough & Rothwell, Redwell Runners; MK LAkeside; Wootton Road Runners; Northampton Road Runners; She Can Run; MKAAC; MK Future Project and Wellingborough District AC BUT you don’t have to be a member of a club to take part! Teams of friends, work colleagues and family are all welcome. ... so, here's to helping us achieve next year's target of attracting of 160+ teams again!
