Hi all
As promised here are the results from what proved to be a busy October!
Olney Runners were representing in races all across Europe, bagging PB's and having some memorable experiences along the way.
To top this we had the most successful Squeaky Bone ever, and had a great start to the cross county season.
We had a few standout performances to give a special mention, first up is Helen Margetts amazing performance at Iron Man Barcelona clocking in at 12hrs 30 seconds, Helen did actually compete on 30th September but an amazing acheivement cannot pass without a mention.
There were PB's coming thick and fast thoughout October with Mark Johnson, Linda Church and Simon Cook bagging new half marthon PBs, while in Lake Garda Darren Darkins clocked in an impressive time to get his marathon PB. Keeping up the great European performance was Wendy Haslam who ran well in the Amsterdam 8k, beating her previous longest distance in a great time.
The Budapest squad looked like they also had a great trip, with no one being swept up by the dreaded bus! Great running from Jane Brown who secured her best 10k time yet. Closer to home The Ridgeway Run had a small but perfectly formed team enjoying the majestic rolling countryside and challenging Chiltern Hills and for the second year running The Spooky Sprint had a geat turnout to help raise funds for Parkinsons UK.
All the results are listed below, appologies for anyone who I have missed and please let me know as I'm compiling the results for the whole of 2017 to publish on the website. I have not included the XC (as they are already on the news page) or the squeaky Bone as its just a bit too much I'm aftraid.
