This months report is a mixture of late entries from October and November but to begin with I would like to give a special mention to the hardy few who represented yesterday on the Chiltern in Luton XC. Great efforts once again from the Juniors with Molly White running in the U13 Girls and Tom Mills, Mathew Dicks and Ed Forrester lining up in the U17 Boys race. The Adult section had Steve Dicks and David O'Connor running in the mens race and Andrea Rawlings representing the Ladies. It was a cold grey day and everyone ran brilliantly, Special mention for Andrea who placed 5th in her age category and to David who has run every cross country so far on both the Chiltern and Three Counties leagues.
In the world of racing we may not of had as many exotic locations this month but that has not stopped us getting out there and hitting some great races from Ennerdale, Bingley and Leighton Buzzard,
Up in Ennerdale Dean Sartin & Keith Curwood had a great day of running along the 25k course in some testing conditions, in an impressive time of just over 3 hours. Even more impressive was the fact that only a week later Dean ran the Stort30 Mile ultra which was part of the Trail Running Association Middle Distance Championship, finishing 5th in his age category.
This months most unusual performance came from Steve Dicks as he ran the Cyclist v Harriers Fell race, which has both runners and cyclists racing against each other across some truly steep hills.
Other notable perfromances came from Matthew Dicks who placed second in the U17 Ampthill Trophy and Katie Godof who run an incredibly quick time at the St Neots Half to claim 4th place female overall.
The Dirt Half and the Mo Run had a great turnout as well, and well done to everyone to took part. So if you also include the the three cross county meetings it seem's that November was a pretty busy month!
If there is amnyone out there who has raced this month and hasn't been included, please let me know and I can add you to the roll of honour.
