Cross Country Round Up

What a weekend of running!
The weekend began with the second race in the Chiltern series taking place at Teardrop Lakes in Milton Keynes. It was an incredibly competitive field as it included the UKA cross challenge that included cross county champions from Scotland and Wales, with the mens race including 10,000m European Silver medalist Andy Vernon in the field.
The Juniors had seven athletes representing the club, with Natalie Mayes, Rebecca Woodward, Isabella Caswell and Molly White running in the U13 girls race. On the boys side Matthew Dicks, Ed Forrester and Tom Mills put in great performances in the U17 Boys division. Hats off also to Andrea Rawlings and David O'Connor who were our sole representatives in the adults races

On Sunday the second race in the Three Counties league took place in the beautiful grounds on Delapre park.
Twenty Five athletes stepped up to represent, with Katie Godof taking 2nd overall female position in her first outing for Olney Runners.
It was a solid display all round with good points scored to consolidate our good start in Wellingborough last month. Kudos to David O'Connor who donned the blue & gold once again to complete his second cross country race of the weekend!
